European Labour Law (Elective)

The aim of the course is to interpret the EU directives on labour relations, as formulated through the case-law of the EU court.Particular emphasis is placed on those directives which are of great practical importance, such as the collective redundancies directive, the directive on the protection of workers in the event of the transfer of a business, the directive on non-discrimination and the directives on flexible forms of employment (fixed-term, part-time and temporary employment contracts).
